Hub of the Home: Family Living and Dining Room

The room had a natural alcove next to the fireplace and we used this space to create a floor-to-ceiling bar unit that ensures that the party always starts in this room. The bar unit has both closed drawers for storage, as well as a generous open surface area for preparing drinks with further bottle storage above. We used two high-back armchairs to flank the blue velvet sofa and provide comfortable TV seating. We also placed a custom-made ottoman in the middle, that can be used both as a coffee table and as an ottoman put your feet up in front of the sofa. The room has high ceilings and large walls – we used this space to add a stunning custom-made floral painting that proves to be the perfect highlight in front of the stunning 8-seater ceramic top table. On the other walls, we have used a large grey glass mirror above the fireplace and two pieces of intertwining metal art to elevate the visual interest in the room. A large glass chandelier provides the statement lighting in the room. The room overlooks their beautiful garden and is now proving to be a great space that is enjoyed by the entire family all day long.
