Designer's notes
The client is an artist and moved into her lovely new home last year. She had an empty living room and was keen that the furniture, decor and overall styling of the room represent her preferences in every way. She was keen to achieve a room filled with bold colour and a blend of East meets West design/decor throughout the space. She also wanted her art to be displayed prominently in the room without overtaking the essence of the space being a family room.

The matching set of ethnic sideboards define the two alcoves on either side of the fireplace. Two very different styles of paintings work in tandem to represent the blending of east and west in symbolic harmony on either side. Ethnic inspired furniture and a large statement mirror compliment the space perfectly.
